Privacy policy

In short

Hudan is free; there are no ads, sign-ups or accounts. It does not ask for, collect, sell or share personal information. No analytics or advertising trackers are used.

Stored on your device

Your last verse and mushaf page, reading progress, chosen translation and reciter, dhikr counts, the place you chose for prayer times and similar settings are kept only on your own device (browser storage). They are not sent to us. Clearing browser data or uninstalling the app deletes them.

Location

Location is used only when you tap the button and allow it. Prayer times and the qibla direction are calculated on the device. For "Nearby mosques" your location is sent to OpenStreetMap data servers (Overpass) to find mosques around you; map images also come from OpenStreetMap. We do not store your location.

Services your device connects to directly

Some content comes from other organisations' servers. Like any internet request, these servers see your device's IP address and the file requested: Quran.com and EveryAyah (recitations), ezanvakti.emushaf.net (Diyanet prayer times), Open-Meteo (location and time zone when you search a place name), OpenStreetMap (mosques and map), Google Fonts (fonts). Tapping directions to a mosque opens Google Maps.

Server logs

Like any web server, the hudan.org server keeps standard request logs (IP address, page requested, time, browser details). They are used only for security and troubleshooting and are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Android app

The Hudan Android app shows this website; everything above applies to it too. Prayer time notifications are scheduled on the phone and work offline; notification and alarm permissions are requested for this. No data is sent anywhere for notifications.

Children

Since Hudan collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page and the date below is updated.
